Ski

Design Pinuccio Borgonovo, 2013

Ski was born from a curious direct observation: a sequence of skis resting against a wall in a mountain lodge and used as clothes racks. Ski consists of slim mobile slats with integrated LED lights, and can be opened and closed, creating suggestive luminous effects. It is produce of solid ash wood in the colours white, black, graphite.

At its core, the Ski coat rack is a graphic composition of vertical elements in white-stained ash, capable of transforming the wall into a light, rhythmic architectural feature. Even when unlit, the interplay of volumes and overlaps creates depth and movement, while its function blends naturally into the design, accommodating everyday objects with discretion and order.
